Thank you to all of the folks who have already responded! We are still
looking for a few more volunteers for this year (both on-site and online,
but we are particularly in need of online volunteers). We have decided to

Subject: Call for Volunteers: C4L Community Support Squad
To: Code for Libraries <CODE4LIB_at_lists.clir.org>

Hello all,

This is an annual call for a very important subset of conference
volunteers: our Community Support Squad. As part of the community’s effort
to maintain an inclusive, safer environment at the Code4Lib annual
conference, Community Support Volunteers (CSVs) are a highly visible point
of contact for conference attendees for any questions and concerns
regarding the Code of Conduct.

We also wanted to include a friendly reminder that for the 2026 conference,
there is a volunteer incentive program available for signing up. More
information on that program can be found at https://2026.code4lib.org/

If you would like to volunteer with us, please fill out the Google form
located here https://forms.gle/uw1nCXhSvTBroNTm6 no later than Friday,
January 23rd.

Not sure what you’re in for? Read our FAQs for more information, located
here:

We hope you will consider volunteering for these important roles and look
forward to seeing you at the conference in person or online! If you have
questions, please email me or Caleb Derven at caleb.derven_at_ul.ie

Sincerely,

C4L Community Support Volunteer Coordinators

*The Bodewadmi, the Odawa, and the Ojibwe collectively named the
Anishinaabe, lived in the lands and the waterways of the Michigami before
the first white settlers arrived here. They continue to live here still,
and the University of Michigan owes its creation to them. The University of
Michigan Library is deeply indebted to the Wyandot and Anishinaabe Peoples,
and we still have much work to do in order to honor the intent and spirit
of the treaty upon which we were founded.*
