Hello all,

The University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries seek an Economics and
Digital Social Sciences Librarian to be based in the Navari Family Center
for Digital Scholarship. The successful candidate will serve as the primary
representative of the Libraries to the Department of Economics and will
also be a core member of the Navari Center, where they will provide
quantitative and qualitative data consultations and teaching.



*Duties and Responsibilities include:*


   - Provide expert, in-depth reference, consultation, and information
   services to the University of Notre Dame community, in particular to the
   Department of Economics.
   - Teach workshops on data use and analysis as well as specialized
   software applications
   - Provide in-depth research consultations on programming/coding with
   statistical software (Stata, R, and/or Python), manipulating and analyzing
   existing large datasets, locating existing datasets (both proprietary and
   freely available), and creating original datasets
   - Assist and instruct users in a wide array of electronic and print
   social science resources through both in-person and online collaborations.
   These resources may include datasets, databases, and statistical software
   packages
   - Work with the Navari Center team on consultations related to data
   science and visualization.
   - Collaborate with the Navari Center team to provide research data
   management consultations and related services
