Hello all,

[Apologies for cross-posting, you might see this message on other lists
you're subscribed to].

When a major grant ends or a key funding stream dries up, organizations
often find themselves at a crossroads. Do you responsibly wind down, build
a bridge to new funding, or scale back to sustain what’s essential? In
response to what we’re hearing from the field, Educopia is launching *Loss
of Primary Source of Funding, **a four-part workshop series* in our new
*Transitions* suite. Designed for nonprofit and mission-driven
organizations, this series helps teams navigate funding loss with
structure, compassion, and foresight.* Learn more about the offering and

At Educopia, we’ve spent the past two years stewarding communities through
critical junctures, helping groups realign governance, diversify revenue,
merge or wind down responsibly, and communicate clearly through
uncertainty. These experiences have shown us that *transitions*
<https://educopia.org/transitions/> aren’t just about strategy or survival.
They’re about care, timing, and the relationships that hold an organization
together. Simply put, we see these moments not just as phases to manage,
but as powerful frameworks for cultivating resilience, equity, and
long-term impact. This workshop series is the first in a lineup of
offerings we’ll roll out in the months ahead, each addressing a different
kind of organizational transition.

As a starting point, you can also sign up for *a free Transitions-focused
office hour with an Educopia consultant
<https://calendly.com/educopia-consulting-team>* to explore your
organization’s unique context and questions before the workshop begins.

*About the Workshop Series:*This four-part series offers structured tools,
peer support, and expert facilitation to help you move through uncertainty
with clarity instead of panic. Participants leave with a grounded
understanding of their options, practical next steps, and the reassurance
that they’re not navigating these challenges alone, all while protecting
their mission, people, and legacy.

*Format:*

   - Four sessions (2 hours each, including breaks) blending guided
facilitation, applied exercises, and real-world examples. Between sessions,
you’ll complete brief, self-paced activities that help you apply the tools
to your own context and come ready to build on them in the next session.
   - Intake survey ensures the tools and discussions are tailored to your
organization’s specific context, runway, and goals.
   - Optional add-on consulting hours available for hands-on support with
outputs like tailored fundraising plans, contingency budgets, or sunsetting
   blueprints.

*Session Topics:*

   1. *Jan 26, 2026 — Framing & Runway Assessment: *Clarify your financial
position, map key stakeholders, and assess options for pivoting, scaling
   back, or winding down.
   2. *Feb 2, 2026 — Pivoting to Sustainability: *Map potential revenue
streams and develop a “good enough to try, safe enough to fail” plan for
   next steps.
   3. *Feb 9, 2026 — Responsible Wind Down / Contingency Planning: *Prepare
for values-aligned transitions using structured tools and templates.
   4. *Feb 16, 2026 — Communications & Legacy: *Craft transparent messaging
and closure strategies that honor your people and your work.

*You’ll leave these sessions with:*

   - A clear understanding of your organization’s financial position and
   viable next steps.
   - Practical tools to assess runway, map assets, and identify new funding
   opportunities.
   - Fundraising or contingency plans that align with your values.
   - Guidance on communications sequencing and legacy planning.
   - Greater alignment and confidence among your staff and leadership to
   navigate uncertainty.

If your organization is approaching a financial crossroads, or if you
simply want to be better prepared for one, this series offers a structured,
supportive space to chart your next chapter with care and clarity.
