My esteemed listmates,

I got a refurbished laptop running W10.

I can never save a file I created in my licensed Word 365 to just the root
directory C:\ or anywhere unless I visit a folder named Refurb.

I found this ....
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-solve-you-dont-have-permission-to-save-in/67b38978-52e0-4f27-8b15-29cd8fbbe266

Under Edit, it prompts you to Enter the Object name.

What object?

I just want to be able to save files anywhere.

Then it directs you to Advanced and when I click in there I don’t see C:\
as an option.

I have just me as user (no name attached) no admin account.

Thank you,

Charles.
