Share your experiences using or studying faceted subject access! We invite presentations that explore the latest developments in faceted subject vocabularies as well as methods for converting or crosswalking pre-coordinated subjects to faceted vocabularies. However, we also welcome submissions on any other aspect of faceted subject access, including, but not limited to the following topics:

Training needs and challenges related to subject vocabularies

Discovery systems and faceted subject vocabularies

The role of AI and machine learning in faceted subject vocabularies

Using tools, programs, or applications to assign faceted vocabularies

Adding faceted vocabularies to legacy data

Linked data integration with faceted subject vocabularies

Use of faceted vocabularies in the catalog or other contexts, such as digital repositories

Problems or issues discovered when working with different faceted vocabularies

We are seeking presentations of 15-20 minutes in length. Please email the proposal title and 150 - 250 word abstract to co-chairs Su Hyeon Kang (skang_at_atla.com) and Andrea Schuba (aschuba_at_umd.edu) by Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 11:59 p.m Hawaii-Aleutian time.
