Hi.

We have an annual subscription with TunnelBear and love it. It's not the greatest VPN for governmental privacy, but that's not part of our need.

Some reasons we like it:

* Reasonable price.
* Browser add-ons make it possible for just one browser to be "off-campus" while the rest of the computer operates normally. (This is THE killer feature.)
* Five simultaneous connections allow multiple users to use it. (as long as they know to disconnect when done).
* Easy for users to understand and change "virtual location".
* Cute! (Watch the bear as you enter the password.)

Hope that helps,
Erich

Subject: [CODE4LIB] Recommendation requests: VPN for off-campus testing

We are researching new methods for testing off-campus access of our E-Resources. We currently use the HMA VPN on a virtual machine, but it has become increasingly slow and unreliable. Does anyone have a product or procedure that you are using the works well that you would recommend?

Many thanks!
