Skidmore uses Ensemble: https://www.ensemblevideo.com/ . We used to have an on-premise server, but have switched to a hosted one in conjunction with several of our peer institutions.

Subject: [CODE4LIB] Streaming video servers?

Hi code4Lib,

Just wondering what other institutions are using for streaming video servers?

We have received some standalone films/files for courses, but do not have a formal electronic reserves system. It has become a little unwieldy.

If you have suggestions for a solution that is preferably open source and has password protection, please feel free to respond or contact me off-list.

All the best,
Junior
