Word - graphics and template

I'm working on a graphic project I thought would be fairly straightforward.

I've created "text" (words) in a Word 365 document with starbursts.

I need to then copy/paste that creation into a Word flyer template created
by another person.

I then need to create a 1/2 sheet of that "creation.'

But, it's become somewhat complicated.

Once I copy/paste the "text" with starbursts into the flyer (in Word) the
"text" overflows
on to page 2.

Anyone on the list work in Word with graphics creating 1/2 sheets which
might please take a look at why this has become problematic?
