Current projects include ORA 4, an initiative to scope and build the next generation open access repository on the foundation of the Oxford Research Archive (ORA) and the William Henry Fox Talbot Catalogue Raisonne, an online database of early photography.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving digital projects team and, as a Digital Project Manager, you will contribute to a variety of future initiatives, including projects focused on digitisation, metadata management and consolidation, International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) development, Linked Open Data, search engine optimisation and innovative approaches to search and discovery of digital resources. You will be expected to work in collaboration with colleagues in the Gardens, Libraries, and Museums (GLAM) division to explore cross-institutional opportunities for digital project delivery.

You will be responsible for the delivery of assigned projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, from initiation through to delivery into steady state operations and within allocated project budgets; line and/or task-managing small project teams and providing talks, papers and presentations on the project outcomes internally and externally (as required).

You will have a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent along with technical skills and experience in a relevant field and experience of task management of technical staff. Proven project and people management experience, sound financial management, a collaborative approach to project delivery and a confidence engaging with colleagues at all levels across the University are also essential. Previous line management experience is desirable.
