Anyone done: EDS API, bento style search?

Has anyone used the EDS API to make a ‘bento’ style search, especially
splitting out “Catalog” and “Articles”?

Or does anyone know any institutions that may have done so?

If so, I'd appreciate asking you some questions about how you did some
things!
