I can’t make the curl work either (I’ll have to investigate this further)  but I do get it when I use wget. I also have the OpenLink Data Explorer Extension <http://ode.openlinksw.com/> installed (like Karen) and it also downloads the rdf.

The caveat here seems to be what Richard said that the search engines are not doing content negotiation.
