I actually think (despite not wanting to drag this out further) that Michael's question is legit: it never has been clear whether majority opinion is the rule for Code4Lib. From my observation, C4L is not a democracy but an anarchy - whoever thinks something ought to be done, does it... And then everyone else complains about it. Ad nauseum.
