Hi, Tod. No idea how well it works, but there is a perl Text::SuDocs
module on CPAN:

http://search.cpan.org/~cfouts/Text-SuDocs-0.014/lib/Text/SuDocs.pm

Might be something you could reverse-engineer for another platform.
