Can't believe no one has yet mentioned Chicago band "I Fight Dragons" -- they mix NES-controller chiptunes with electric guitars, playing rockin' covers of Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Contra, etc. in addition to some originals that have been remixed by other Chicago musicians.
