It looks like that may even be a special relationship between OL/IA and Amazon/Kindle http://www.teleread.com/paul-biba/send-selected-full-text-ebooks-from-open-library-to-a-kindle-with-only-a-couple-of-clicks/ All other services that I know of need to use the Amazon Send to Kindle app or the Send to Kindle email address that is unique to each user.
