Karen, I had a similar thought. How hard would it be, even as an experiment, to associate geolocation to local records? Therefore the records of institutions (I'm speaking of physical resources primarily) would be relevant to a person's query based upon their location, which of course would play out more fully for mobile users than desktop contexts.
