VIAF APIs

Hi all,

I'm assuming someone who works on the VIAF project at OCLC is on the list--

Are there APIs for querying VIAF?  For example, is it possible to get a
query response (e.g.
http://viaf.org/viaf/search?query=local.names+all+%22alexander%22&stylesheet=/viaf/xsl/results.xsl&sortKeys=holdingscount&maximumRecords=100)
in XML?  I tried to remove the stylesheet param but there seems to be a
default.
