ISBN 1884213111, 8th ed. 1996, published by the author I located the listing with Amazon.com, but just received a message saying they can no longer get this. I've tried local bookstores & the local library. Any other suggestions? If anyone has a copy, maybe they could check for a phone number? Thanks for your help! Subject: N C U P Incorporated Does anyone have current address/phone info for N C U P Incorporated? The last data I have is: 292 Washington Ave. Ext., Suite 107, Albany, NY 12203-5346 (phone 518 456-2072). This phone # is no longer in service, and Albany telephone information turned up no listing for either N C U P or its CEO, D.L. Kmieciak. We need to obtain a couple of titles, which are listed in BIP as published by them; however we've checked OCLC for a couple of years and found no bib records with their imprint -- which causes me to wonder it they are truly a publisher or whether they merely reprint others' titles. Any light anyone can shed on this will be much appreciated. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %% Helen P. Phone number is 800-888-4478. They supply a children's paperback standing order plan for our public library. We are satisfied with their service. Ingram Library Services has paperback standing order plans for both adults and children. We use their paperback standing order plan for Western series and for an African American romance series, Arabesque. They provide good service too and seem to be expanding these programs. Phone number is 1-800-937-5300. I really like the programs because the selectors don't have to worry about missing a title in the series - the vendor automatically forwards them. Devotees of these series don't want to miss a single volume, and these plans ease the demands on selectors to maintain these series. Hunter Kevil (Univ. of Missouri-Columbia) Subject: RE: Capitalization of electronic sources Here is a belated reply to the question about capitalization of electronic resources. In our practice all materials are capitalized if they are physical entities and are added to the collection. Internet licenses and ILL purchases are therefore not capitalizable. Some CD-ROMs raise interesting questions. For instance, a few publishers consider we are only leasing the CDs and require us to return the old CD when the new one is available. Others make it clear that we have purchased the CDs. A few are in the middle: requesting but not requiring to destroy or return the old CDs. Our current practice is to enter capitalization codes on the vouchers submitted for payment but not to use our Innovative system to track this in any kind of detail. All our system knows is whether the item is purchased or leased and whether we are paying for a license. We have discovered that publisher policy on these points is often vague and subject to change.
