We might even be interested in a visit to a site that is a reasonable distance from our cooperative headquarters (suburban detroit) if that is = a possibility. Thank you. Our University is just beginning to discuss having an "order request form" on our web page, since we have found our electronic form works well for Interlibrary Loan requests. I would be interested in hearing from any "proud parents" who have already implemented this, since= we would like to sneak a peak at your site! We would also be interested in hearing how the requests are "routed" once they are received (who checks what, and at what point in the process). Also, does the form interface wi= th your OPAC in any way? Thanks in advance! Mack (Lehigh University) Subject: Reprints for OP materials Does anyone know what the mechanism is for getting UMI Books on Demand (o= r, for that matter, Peter Smith or other reprint houses) to make additional = titles available as reprints? As an example, here at Lehigh University we have a title which was publis= hed in 1953 and is presently OP. This is very heavily used on course reserve, a= nd although we presently have 4 copies of this 2-volume set, we find that 2 = copies of vol.2 are falling apart from such heavy use. While I have asked C. Di= ckens (the bookseller in Atlanta which we use for OP materials) to search for 2 copies, we certainly have no guarantee that they will ever locate any. I= t would be so much easier to ask UMI Books on Demand to do it for us! Helen P.
