Michigan University) Subject: Janus Press I am looking for a current address and phone number for Janus Press, which recently published a limited edition 15 page item by Poet Laureate Rita Dove called "Lady Freedom Among Us." We have tried to get phone numbers from West Burke and Newark, Vermont, and from Rouge River, California. (The first two cities appear in the imprints of Janus titles on OCLC, and the latter location was given to us by a vendor we called.) "Information" for each area has no such phone listing. If anyone can kindly supply a phone number or can confirm where Janus is located, please reply to Acqnet or to me. Thanks. (2)---------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu, 10 Nov 1994 19:40:06 -0500 From: Brent Zupp (Book News, Inc.) Subject: Book reviews and selections As publishers of SciTech Book News and Reference & Research Book News, we would like to know: Do you use reviews when selecting books? What makes a good review? What don't you like about some of the standard reviewing media? Where are the gaps? (publications from societies, small presses, government, science, theology...) Do you use online reviews? We annotate high-level science and reference books, and our annotations are read primarily by librarians at college, university, and special libraries. Your comments would be appreciated.
