Boissonnas (Cornell U.) Subject: Re: ACQNET 4:54 Date: Sun, 06 Nov 1994 16:50:48 -0500 Eleanor, Your ideas of term appointments for editorial board members and ACQ FLASHES are good. But, after having just attended the Charleston Conference I have a third suggestion to offer. I wonder if there would not be some benefit in tying ACQNET more to the conference. After all, it started there. It seems to me that ACQNET and _Against the Grain_ are redundant since they are targeted at the same audience and could carry the same items. I know that _Against the Grain_ is much prettier and that not everybody that gets it is on the Internet, but still. Many of the items in _Against the Grain_ would benefit from quicker dissemination and the newsletter, by being smaller, would be easier to put together, quicker to read, and cheaper. Maybe the time has come for a networked _ATG_ through ACQNET? Christian [Ed. note: I responded privately to both Christian and Katina and asked for Katina's feedback on this. We are talking. Nothing like this could be undertaken without her participation!] (3)---------------------------------------------------------------- From: Tschera H. Connell (Ohio State U.)
