Finnegan (Univ. of California - Irvine) Subject: Singapore Source For Medical Book Date: Thu, 2 Dec 1993 11:07:39 -0500 There are 10 Singapore vendors listed in the 1994 edition of Bowker's International Literary Market Place. If you do not have access to this volume, please e-mail me and I will send you the addresses. Two additional reports I know of are: Committee on Institutional Cooperation. Task Force on the CIC Electronic Collection. Report to the CIC Library Directors. (Oct. 1, 1993) Eugene L. Gaele Gillespie (University of Kansas) Subject: More on Collet's Date: Fri, 3 Dec 1993 22:45:14 -0500 [Reprinted with permission. -- C.] The latest information to be forwarded me from the SLAVS discussion list (SLAVS@library.Berkeley.edu) concerning Collet's status: Gregory Walker (Bodleian Library, Oxford) says that Collet's confirmed to him by phone 11/25/93 that they ceased trading the Friday before (which would have been 11/19/93). Gregory understands from another source that the firm which offered to take them over in Sept. has now pulled out, and that all staff have now been laid off. We were never contacted directly by Collet's; perhaps none of their trans- Atlantic customers were...ah, well... Always hate to see a good vendor go under, especially such a specialized one.
