They will be at the Reno Airport for pickup at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on May 29. You will be met at the baggage area exit by someone holding a sign "Feather River Institute." Please make your flight reservations to coincide with this schedule. Rental cars are also available from the airport. It is about a one hour trip from the Reno airport to the Feather River Inn. Lunch Lunch will be available at noon for those who arrive early. Recreation There are outdoor activities available as part of registration except for golf. If you want to play, you must pay your own green fees. Swimming pool will not yet be open for the season. Weather The Inn is located at 4,500 feet elevation in the Sierra Nevada Range, so the weather will most likely be chilly to cold, and might even include snow! Bring warm clothing, and since you will be walking from cabins, bring comfortable, practical footwear. Cabins Single or double occupancy cabins are available. When registering for a double room, please indicate whether you have any physical disability or handicap, or if you have someone with whom you plan to share the room. Otherwise, cabins will be assigned by the Feather River Inn. Cabins are located throughout the grounds. They are equipped with bathrooms and showers. Atmosphere The Institute is very informal. Our primary interest is in having colleagues present thought-provoking issues, and then have everyone who wants to participate in discussion. Even the speakers do not dress up. Come prepared to be warm, comfortable, and sociable. This is your meeting, and we want you to get everything you can from it.
