In an increasingly competitive environment, publishers, aggregators,
consortia, distributors, search engines, and libraries must all seek to
maintain and/or increase name recognition among their users. Branding
initiatives are expensive, but in terms of continued relevance and
commercial success, they are crucial to all entities in the chain. How do
these organizations approach the task? Are there ways to cooperate rather
than compete? What is the effect of branding on the reader experience?
Come hear what publishers, vendors and libraries are saying about this
topic in an open forum where the follow-up discussion is sure to be
provocative.
