Subject:  REMINDER: Call for SNRG 2008 Presentation Proposals to end May 15


The 5th Annual SirsiDynix Northeast Regional Group Users Conference,
hosted by Lehigh University, is seeking proposals for presentations.
The conference is June 15-18, 2008 in Bethlehem, PA.  The deadline
for submissions is May 15.

Any SirsiDynix Unicorn, Symphony, or Horizon customer, as well as
SirsiDynix staff, may submit proposals.  We are open to proposals in
various tracks (circulation, technical services, systems, or general)
Proposals are not required to be SirsiDynix-based presentations as other
library topics are welcome.  Currently proposals that have been
submitted are under consideration but, to stimulate ideas for
submission, following is a list of some that have been accepted:

    * Using Director's Station to Retrieve ILS Information and Statistics
    * Sugar-Coated Serials: Streamlining OPAC Serial Holding Displays
    * Compiling collection statistics using canned reports
    * Setting up an academic library in Second Life
    * VUFind: an open source faceted searching OPAC interface
    * Migrating from the C client to the Java Client
    * Horizon to Symphony / Demos on Symphony Modules

SirsiDynix customers that are presenting will receive a discount price
of $70 for the full conference registration ($55 less than the full
conference price of $125)

Submit proposals for presentations to insnrg_at_lehigh.edu. Please send a
working title, suggested audience (circulation, technical services,
systems, general), and a brief summary of your proposal.  The deadline
for proposals is May 15, 2008.
