Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks a Senior Acquisitions &
Cataloging Librarian
for an information systems company in the eastern region of the greater
Los Angeles area.
The Librarian will manage the development of our client's assigned
product line from it's
conceptual stages through development. Responsibilities include
participating in the overall
strategy, research and development to collaborating with the sales,
marketing, programming,
and other departments to provide a product that's responsive to customer
needs. Up to
20% travel required. MLS Degree and 3-5 years experience in a mid to
large public library’s
technical services department with experience in acquisitions and
cataloging. Our successful
candidates will be familiar with ILS cataloging and acquisitions
functions and book vendor
ordering systems (B&T, Blackwell, or Ingram).
