Head, Monograph Cataloging
The University of California, Irvine Libraries seek a Head, Monograph
Cataloging to provide leadership and expertise in cataloging of
monographic publications. The Head will perform original and complex
copy cataloging as well as supervise staff and manage the Monograph
Cataloging Section. Reporting to the Head of the Cataloging Department,
the incumbent will bring vision and energy to implementing effective
organization of, and public access to, the Libraries’ monographic
publications.
The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience; the
preferred appointment level is $44,736 - $73,356 (Associate Librarian I
– Librarian II). Applicants who may qualify for the Associate Librarian
level are encouraged to apply.
The UCI Libraries, comprising the Langson Library, the Science Library,
the Library Gateway Study Center, and the Grunigen Medical Library, are

volumes and over 53,000 current serial titles and an aggressively
expanding electronic resources collection. The University of California,
