Subject: FROM THE EDITOR -  ACQNET-L Welcome Message has been updated

The ACQNET-L Welcome message has finally been updated.  You can find it on
AcqWeb at:  http://www.acqweb.org/acqnet/welcome.html

Please refer to this for questions concerning how to subscribe or 
unsubscribe,
how to set your list preferences, and for questions related to the 
editorial policies
of the list.

You can see who is on the Editorial Board. And please remember that the
ACQNET-L archives are there for the world to see.  They are totally public.

A separate message will be going out soon about the fate of AcqWeb (the 
web site).
A survey was done in Dec-Jan, and we are discussing the results, which 
basically
led us to believe that AcqWeb, in some form, needs to survive and be 
revamped.
We have added a disclaimer noting that the information in AcqWeb is 
currently
out of date - However!  The ACQNET-L policies, I am happy to report, are
totally up to date now.
