Collection Development Librarian
Oregon Health & Science University Library
Portland, OR
This position will coordinate selection of print and electronic library materials and license
electronic resources.
Responsibilities:
The Collection Development Librarian is responsible for providing leadership in developing
and managing the library's print and electronic collections. The incumbent will coordinate
the activities of an interdepartmental Collection Development Committee, and will have some
supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to the University Librarian.
Required Qualifications:
o MLS from an ALA-accredited library and information science program
o Minimum three years' professional experience in an academic library
o Significant experience with collection development and licensing in an academic library
o Significant experience with data collection and analysis
o Demonstrated knowledge of major trends in scholarly communication
