Subject: Meeting Announcement: ACRL-NEC CD Interest Group

The ACRL-NEC Collection Development Interest Group fall program 
will be held on Friday, November 17, 2006, from 10 am to 1 pm at 
Dimond Library,University of New Hampshire. Coffee and refreshments 
will be available at 9:30 am.

The topic for this program is "Cooperative Collection Development: 
What is it and who is doing it?" and will include the following 
speakers:

- Amy Lewontin, Collection Development Librarian, Northeastern
University will speak about her university's use of the OCLC 
CollectionAnalysis tool.

- Judy Montgomery, Associate Librarian, Bowdoin College, John 
Harrison,Associate College Librarian, Bates College, and Alisia 
Wygant,Periodicals and Electronic Resources Assistant, Colby 
College, will present how their libraries have worked together to 
analyze their holdings to further cooperative efforts for collection 
development, preservation and resource sharing.

- Sandy Brooke, Head of Acquisitions and Collection Development,
Williams College, Darwin Scott, Music Librarian, Brandeis University,
and Peter Allison, Principal Bibliographer, University of Connecticut
will talk about a project among six libraries from the Boston Library
Consortium.

There is no fee for this program, but please RSVP via our web form at:

by November 3rd, so that we can adequately prepare for parking and 
refreshments. Parking will be paid for by the UNH Library and 
directions will be forthcoming shortly after registration closes on 
November 3rd.
