ALA Summer Meeting Announcement (ALCTS AA/IPCDG)

On Sunday, June 25 from 10:30 till noon the Automated Acquisitions/
In Process Control Discussion Group of ALCTS will hold a discussion in
Convention Center Room 237. The topic of the discussion will be
"Managing ordering/receiving workflows for the mix of traditional and
electronic content, specifically e-books. How are vendors and customers
working together to manage the challenges". Helping form a discussion
of the issues will be a panel that includes:

Linda Gagnon, VP Sales and Marketing, YBP
Jay Henry, Directory of Business Development, Blackwell's
Bob Schatz, Director of US Sales, Coutts

Since the AA/IPCDG discussion will focus specifically on issues
associated with managing ordering/receiving workflows for e-books, it
will be different from, yet complimentary to, the Acquisitions Managers
and Vendors Interest Group (1:30 to 3:30, Hilton Garden Inn, Clementine
Hunter Room), which will feature company CEOs, and will cover wider
issues associated with monograph vendors' roles during the transition
from print to electronic formats.

Come hear and contribute to the discussion.
