Resource Development Librarian
Position Description: Eastern Oregon University invites applications
for the position of Resource Development Librarian. The Resource
Development Librarian at Eastern Oregon University is responsible for
the library's resource development, including: fiscal, administrative,
management of information services, as well as provides reference and
information services to the Eastern Oregon University community.
This position is responsible for all acquisitions, including electronic
resources, serials and monographs and makes recommendations to the
Library Director regarding budget allocations and expenditures. In
addition, this Librarian provides reference and information services
at the Information Desk, is the Education Department liaison; conducts
bibliographic instruction and collection development in this area, as
well as teaches a Information Access course through Distance Education
(LIB127).
The Resource Development Librarian is a 12-month, tenure track, faculty
position (Assistant Professor). Salary will be between $45,949 to
$58,342 based on experience (according to placement on the AAP/EOU
bargaining agreement salary schedule) with excellent medical, retirement
and professional development benefits.
Qualifications: A master's degree in librarianship, including but not
limited to, a MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited program is required.
A second master's degree is required for promotion to Professor.
