This is an excellent opportunity to join the staff of a well supported 
and highly regarded research library.

The Federal Reserve Research Library, in Washington, D.C., seeks an
experienced serials librarian to manage the periodicals department,
including selecting new titles and overseeing the receiving, routing,
claiming, storing, binding, and retrieving of journals and newspapers 
in paper and electronic formats.  Uses the serials module of the 
Millennium library system.  Creates, updates, and maintains periodical 
records in the online catalog using OCLC and links to full-text 
electronic sources.  Oversees the library's electronic tables of content

service.  Maintains electronic journal title registrations with Serials 
Solutions and other vendors.  Maintains the library's intranet site.   
Position is available in July.

The right candidate will hold a Masters in Library and Information 
Science as well as a minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian, 
preferably with journal collections.  Supervisory experience is highly 
desirable, as is experience with serials management systems, such as 
Millennium (Innovative Interfaces).  Organizational ability and 
effectiveness as a team member are highly desirable.  Familiarity with 
economics, banking, finance, or business subject matter is desirable, as

is web design experience.

The beginning salary range for this position is $55,000 - $68,000
