MILE HIGH VIEWS: SURVEYING THE SERIALS VISTA
May 4-7, 2006
Denver Marriott City Center
Denver, Colorado

NASIG's 21st annual conference will take place on May 4-7,
2006 at the Denver Marriott City Center in Denver,
Colorado. NASIG has long enjoyed a well-deserved
reputation for outstanding conference programming-come
and experience this for yourself in Denver!

NASIG conferences are focused on serials-related issues
pertinent to any aspects of the serials information chain.
Most new developments in information scenarios-such as new
technologies, services, functions, publication formats,
scholarly communication venues, access methods, and
purchasing/licensing models-emerge first within the realm
of serials. Consequently, NASIG's conference programming
is relevant to a much broader range of interests than may
be immediately obvious.

As always, this year's conference presenters and attendees
will include publishers, catalogers, serials department
managers, vendors, reference librarians, database
producers, acquisitions specialists, collection
development managers, electronic resources specialists,
serials processing staff, etc. These individuals will
come from academic libraries, large publishing firms,
special libraries, public libraries, small publishers,
library consortia offices, information services
consultancies, society publishers, serials and book vendor
companies, government libraries, and many other types of
organizations with interests in serials.

For the full conference program, special events, hotel
and travel information, see the conference website at:
     https://www.nasig.org/conference/2006

Conference registration is online, only (though you may
mail payment by check if desired), at:

https://www.nasig.org/conference/2006/registration/index.html

TWO WAYS TO SAVE MONEY ON YOUR REGISTRATION RATE!

The annual membership dues are lower than the non-member,
full conference registration rate-so you can save money
by joining NASIG before registering for the conference.
Join online at:
     http://www.nasig.org/forms/membership/

You will receive your member number via e-mail within a
couple of minutes. Once you have the number, return to
the registration page (at the URL cited above) and use it
to register for the conference at the member rate.

Register before Apr. 11 to avoid a $50 late fee and a
reduced refund if you must later cancel your registration.

SPECIAL HOTEL AND TRAVEL DISCOUNTS

Special, low hotel rates on several hundred guest rooms
(singles, doubles, and larger) are available in the
conference hotel. NASIG has also arranged for special
discounts with United Airlines and Frontier Airlines
for travel to and from the conference.

NOTE, Mar. 20: Due to tremendous demand, the
Marriott has run out of rooms for Tuesday and
Wednesday nights (May 2-3). Consequently, NASIG
has arranged for additional rooms at the same low
rate ($105 per night) in the Comfort Inn at 401
17th Street on these dates. This hotel is just three
blocks from the Marriott, where the preconferences
and conference will take place.

Details and instructions for both of these cost savings
opportunities are available in the conference website (see
the URL cited aboved.)
