Subject: NETSL Conference (Reminder)
PLEASE FORGIVE CROSS-POSTINGS!
The New England Technical Services Librarians Board (NETSL) is still
accepting registration forms for the 2006 Spring Conference to be held
Thursday, April 6th, at the Hogan Campus Center, College of the Holy
Cross, Worcester, MA.
Please note that registration ends this Friday, March 24, 2006. The
conference program, schedule, and registration form is available at:
http://www.nelib.org/netsl/conference.htm.
Advance registration is required, and no "onsite" registration please!
The theme for this year is: Exploring the "Open" Universe: A Librarian's
Guide.
The keynote speaker will be Eric Lease Morgan, Head of Digital Access
and Information Architecture Department, University of Notre Dame. The
afternoon speaker will be Kat Hagedorn, OAIster/Metadata Harvesting
Librarian, DLXS Bibliographic Class Coordinator, Digital Library
Production Service, University of Michigan.
The breakout session speakers are: Amira Aaron, Harvard University
Library; Elizabeth Thomsen, NOBLE, North of Boston Library Exchange;
Ann Devenish, MBLWHOI Library Data Library & Archives (Wood's Hole);
and Patrick Yott, Brown University.
