Subject: Notice to colleagues and vendors: Tulane is back

Dear colleagues,    

I'd like to send my affectionate greetings to all of you, and let you 
know that we are back in business at Tulane University.  Our main 
library is open, and students are returning for Spring semester.  It 
was nice to see many of you at Charleston, and we appreciate your 
abundant support during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  As to the 
matter of serials control, well, you can imagine what it would be like 
to miss four months.  

The following is a notice for publishers & other vendors:
Notice to all publishers and vendors supplying serials and electronic 
products to Tulane University:
 
Tulane University is resuming operations as of January 2006, after 
having been closed since Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and the Gulf 
Coast in late August 2005.  We know that many of the serials we normally

receive have not been mailed, having been suppressed at their source 
during the intervening four months.  Postal delivery has been sporadic 
for those items which may have been sent.  Since the Howard-Tilton 
Memorial Library is now open, please do resume the mailing of new 
subscription material, as well as any of the missed issues from 
September-December.  Please use the following address:

As many of your invoices were also lost or never delivered, we ask that

concern and generosity.
