Serials Solutions
ERMS Library Training Consultant

The ERMS Library Training Consultant position is responsible for 
training librarians to configure and use Serials Solutions' Electronic 
Resources Management System. Special focus points are electronic 
resource management, workflow, licensing, managing subscriptions, and 
serials cataloging for both print and online holdings. Initial training 
and configuration are to be delivered both remotely (by phone, email, 
web sessions) and on-site (50% travel). This position will work closely 
with ERMS Senior Library Support Analysts; coordination is also required

with the Sales team and the Product Management team. This positions 
reports to the Director of Library Support.

Responsibilities:
-----------------

**Travel to client sites and train librarians to configure and use ERMS 
for managing electronic resources.

**Work with clients to manage any changes required from their existing
management procedures to new ERMS workflows.

**Coordinate with senior Library Support staff to (a) conduct phone 
training and webinars, to provide on-going training on generic ERMS 
functionality;(b) handle escalated ERMS troubleshooting issues; (c) 
produce draft documentation and other training materials on configuring 
and using ERMS.

**Work with clients, Library Support team, ERMS Product Manager and Data
Acquisition team to identify and resolve resource metadata issues that
affect ERMS.

**Work with Product Management team and Development team, to provide
feedback on client needs for ERMS, ideas for enhancement, and client
problems using ERMS, with the goal of making ERMS "best in class."

**Work with sales and support staff to schedule training trips; and make
travel arrangements.

**General library support duties, as needed.

Requirements:

**MLIS degree, or equivalent library experience.

**2+ years experience managing electronic resources, especially serials
licensing and subscription management.

**2+ years experience training external clients to use technology.

**Excellent speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills.

**50% travel
