Electronic Resources Processing Assistant

The UCSF Library and Center for Knowledge Management seeks applications
from qualified individuals
for the position of Electronic Resources Processing Assistant,
classified as a Library Assistant III.
This position operates within a complex unit responsible for multiple
library activities including
acquisitions, cataloging, and database maintenance. The incumbent will
contribute to the unit by
performing library technical services tasks involving electronic
ordering, receiving, claiming and tracking
both print and electronic materials. The incumbent works with web-bases
systems of electronic resources
of monographs, continuations, serials, and integrating resources.
Assists in updating record holdings and
maintaining EXCEL and WORD files of electronic resources data. Assists
with other library technical
services tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
Minimum two years experience in library technical services work or other
pertinent library experience;
ability to work well with others in a team environment; experience with
MS Windows/Office esp. EXCEL
and WORD; ability to lift 5-10 lbs; push and pull loaded library book
truck; bend, reach, stoop; experience
working with web-based systems and in an electronic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the INNOPAC ILS, specifically Millennium Serials and
Millennium Acquisitions;
experience with monograph ordering and receiving; experience with
library journal processing;
experience with vendor web-based utilities; experience with copy cataloging.
Compensation
Classified as a Library Assistant III, $2594 - $3232 per month, full
time rate. Starting salary usually in the
lower end of the range depending on experience and qualifications. This
is a career position with an
