Subject: Position Announcement
LIBRARY ASSOCIATES seeks a Project Manager for a contract/full-time
position in Washington DC. Project Manager will oversee the project and
work of Library Technicians, who will be responsible for conducting
quality control inspections of completed work, problem resolution, and
serials summary holdings statements of approximately 450,000 monograph
and serials volumes and 19,000 serial summary statements annually. The
quality inspections must keep up with the work of the Baseline Inventory
Program production.
Qualifications:
* MLS from an accredited library science graduate program.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of processing materials (books, serials,
etc.) in various languages including English.
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of cataloging procedures for
monographs and serials.
* Experience using Voyager ILS for inputting and editing records.
* Supervisory skills in managing staff, work schedules and quality
control.
