Technical Services Librarian, Ohio Dominican University
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership, coordination and administration to
all library technical services operations including cataloging,
classification, library systems, and acquisitions operations; contribute
to collection development activities; supervise one full-time library
assistant.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ALA-accredited MLS; at least 2 years cataloging
experience, including non-print materials; experience with AACR2, LCSH,
DDC, and OCLC; high level of competency with computers, software and
networked systems; ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in
technology; highly motivated and organized, excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, ability to interact effectively and collegially
with faculty, staff, and students; ability to work productively in a
team environment; high degree of accuracy in complex, detailed work;
strong commitment to service excellence; ability to balance varied
responsibilities; demonstrated understanding of current trends in
cataloging, information management and retrieval; strong commitment to
team-based work; willingness to work with and mentor students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Academic library experience; experience with
Innovative Interfaces Integrated Library System; familiarity with
OhioLINK; supervisory experience; collection development and faculty
liaison experience; knowledge of web page design and creation.
