Acquisitions Librarian - 2 vacancies
The National Library of Medicine is recruiting 2 Acquisitions Librarians to serve in the Serial Records Section of the Technical Services Division. The Serial Records Section is responsible for acquiring over 20,000 biomedical serial subscriptions in print, electronic and mixed media format.
Major Duties:
Duties of these positions include a variety of acquisitions activities for serials in all formats. The position requires knowledge of print and electronic serials; and the ability to assess, develop and implement technology to promote the successful management of serials. Candidates should possess excellent organizational and analytical skills, work well in teams both as a member and a leader, and be able to work flexibly in a rapidly changing environment and to contribute to change.
These positions are being offered at the GS-9 level ($43,365- $56,371) or GS-11 level ($52,468- $68,209); promotion potential to the GS-12 level ($62,886 - $81,747). Applications must be received by May 17, 2005. Vacancy announcement number is NLM-05-67623.
