The National Defense University (NDU) educates military and civilian

strategy, national military strategy, and national resource strategy;

operations, and resource management; acquisition; and regional defense
and security studies. NDU is an information age university for

agency operations.
National Defense University has four colleges (National War College,
Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Information Resources
Management College, and Joint Forces Staff College), three regional

special programs and a world-class library. NDU is fully accredited to
award a Masters Degree from the Middle States Association and is

The work involves the management of electronic resources and their
availability for and to the National Defense University (NDU), support
of library automation, information systems and networking. Management
is functional, requiring work in the areas of systems, cataloging,
acquisitions and web page development.
Coordinates technical and bibliographic processes related to access,
selection, acquisition and maintenance of electronic resources and
serials and databases. Conducts training, briefings and provides
presentations to library and university staff, students and faculty,
national and international high-level military and diplomatic visitors
and to the Federal and nonfederal library community. Identifies,
evaluates and implements new technologies for management of and access
to serials and electronic materials using analytical and
problem-solving skills. Develops and maintain knowledge of emerging
technologies, theories and practices regarding the management and
bibliographic control of serials in all formats.
