HEAD, MONOGRAPH ACQUISITIONS
As one of the top ten academic research libraries in North American, the
University Library possesses outstanding resources including collections
that number more than six million volumes at 19 libraries across the
University of Michigan campus. Each year, the University Library adds
nearly 130,000 volumes to its collections. One of five units within the
Acquisitions/Serials Division, Monograph Acquisitions is responsible for
the ordering and receiving of monographic materials for the University
Library System, management of approval and exchange agreements,
development and maintenance of vendor and selector relationships, and
processing gifts for the collection. Under the direction of the Head of
the Acquisitions/Serials Division, this position provides pragmatic and
innovative leadership and coordination of monographic acquisitions
services, working collaboratively with selectors to provide timely and
cost effective services.
