The Potomac Technical Processing Librarians is sponsoring 2 programs on 
October 14 and 15, 2004, at the University of Virginia.  
 
On Thursday, a workshop will be held entitled "E-Journal Archives: Who
is 
Responsible?"  

Speakers include: 
Victoria Reich, Director of LOCKSS Program, Stanford University;
Carol MacAdam, Associate Director for Library Relations, JSTOR;
James Hodson, Digital Conversion Specialist, Library of Congress;
Brooke Dine, PubMed Central, National Library of Medicine; 
Robert Boissy, Licensing Manager, Kluwer/Springer.
 
On Friday, a conference will be held entitled "Serving and Preserving 
Digital Collections."

Victoria Reich, Director, LOCKSS Program, will give the keynote address 
followed by presenters discussing the programs implemented at their 
institutions.  

These include: 
Gail McMillan, Director, Digital Library Program, Virginia Polytechnic 
Institute & State University;
Allison Zhang, Manager, Digital Collections Production Center,
Washington 
Research Library Consortium;  
Phil Michel, Prints & Photographs Division, Library of Congress.

Leslie Johnston, Director of Digital Access Services for the University
of 
Virginia will demonstrate Fedora.
