Subject: Position Announcement
Colleagues:
The Automated Acquisitions/In-Process Control Systems (ALCTS) Discussion
Group at ALA in Orlando will be meeting on Sunday Morning June 27,
9:30 - 11:00 a.m.in the Marriott Grande Lakes Resort, Del Lago Room 3/4
I am looking for one or two volunteers to help me lead a discussion on
the use of vendor bibliographic records in Acquisitions. This is NOT a
program, so it is only the informal sharing of your experiences. Of
particular interest are librarians who have worked with vendors to
improve
the quality and ease of loading records. It would also be helpful to
have
a vendor discuss how they have worked with a library to improve the
quality
of their records. I'm hoping the discussion might also look at what
standards are needed and how they can be implemented.
If interested please contact me. Thank you.
Tony
