Collection Development Librarian, Central College, Pella, Iowa
Twelve month, tenure track appointment as Assistant Professor of Library
Science beginning July 2004. Central College seeks a service-oriented
librarian to manage acquisitions, serials, budgets, and licensing
agreements;
integrate electronic resources into access systems; supervise staff; provide
reference in rotation schedule; teach information literacy; help plan
library initiatives in dynamic environment.
Qualifications: ALA/MLS; liberal arts background; relevant experience in an
academic library with integrated online library systems; demonstrated
abilities with OCLC & MARC formats, web page creation, and desktop
applications; demonstrated reference and teaching skills; experience with
budgets and licensing agreements; excellent organizational & interpersonal
skills; evidence of ability to meet requirements for promotion and tenure.
