Subject: Call for Survey Participants

Primary Research Group
(<http://www.primaryresearch.comwww.primaryresearch.com), publisher of
monographs about college and special libraries, is writing a report on
database licensing practices. We seek to interview experts and
practitioners in the field and to compile their views. Participants
receive a free pdf copy of the report and are fully acknowledged. If
requested we will give you an opportunity to review your comments prior
to publication. The aim of the report is to develop best practices in
database licensing and management, including use of digital asset
software, librarian time management, training patrons, marketing
databases to end users, consortium agreements, financing acquisitions/
subscriptions, legal language, negotiating tactics, the consolidation of
buying power, and other aspects of database licensing and management.
Libraries that have participated in our acknowledged surveys in the recent
past include: MIT, Syracuse University, the US Department of State,
Microsoft, Owens Corning, Ernst & Young, the University of Indiana, Yale
Law School, The University of Michigan, Price Waterhouse, the University
of Toronto, the Mayo Clinic, Cornell University, Columbia University and
many many others. Primary Research Group is publishers of Creating the
Virtual Reference Service, Law Library Benchmarks, Corporate Library
Benchmarks, and many other studies.

If you would like to participate, please respond to this email and allow us
to arrange a mutually convenient time for one of our analysts to conduct an
interview with you.

Thank you for your consideration. Respond by phone or email us at:
