Managing, Controlling, and Cataloging the Elusive Electronic
Journal, October 4th, Pittsburgh, PA

Hurry!!  The time is running out …
Anybody in the library profession and students of the library school are
cordially invited to this session.

In conjunction with the PaLA Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, PA October
2-5,
2003, the NASIG cosponsors the session on managing E-journal.  This program
will cover issues and decisions that need to be made in the electronic
journal world as well as how to control electronic journals through
Cataloging.  The entire process will be followed, the process beginning with
acquisitions decisions and ending with cataloging.  The following topics
will
be covered: licensing, vendor involvement, economic/pricing models, internal
workflow considerations, linking, cataloging and other access decisions,
entering electronic holdings information and the changes in electronic
cataloging rules.
