ALCTS  Acquisitions Administrators' Discussion Group

Jell-O Revisited: Nailing Down a Flow Chart for Acquiring E-Resources
 
The process of acquiring electronic resources is dramatically more complex 
than the traditional library workflow for purchasing books and serials.  
Interaction with IT, legal affairs, consortia, publishers not used to 
dealing with libraries, and vendors complicates the issues.  This 
discussion group will define what the library's process should look like 
based on the experiences of the audience.  
 
Come prepared to report your successes and challenges as you develop and 
refine your library's process for acquiring e-resources.  This will be an 
interactive session as we flowchart models and how they work.
