SALARY RANGE: $45,000 - $50,000
Library Systems & Services, LLC, a library management firm in Germantown,
MD,
has an immediate opening for an Acquisitions Librarian at the Law Library of
Congress in Washington, DC. Duties include acquiring all formats of
material,
working with vendors and jobbers, reviewing existing acquisition procedures
and developing and implementing the acquisitions module of the integrated
library system.
All applicants MUST have their MLS degree from an ALA-accredited library
school. Essential skills include extensive experience acquiring library
materials from a range of local and national sources, along with claiming,
invoicing, check-in and processing. MUST have experience with the Endeavor
Voyager ILS, including use and development of the Acquisitions module for
ordering and tracking. Will assist the design and implementation of the
Voyager Acquisitions module and provide staff training. Knowledge of
acquiring legal and legislative materials needed.
